COHERENT Collaboration Meets at UT

In December 2019 the physics department hosted a meeting of the COHERENT collaboration. The three-day workshop attracted ~40 scientists from multiple institutions. The workshop focussed on discussions about the future of the neutrino physics program at the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

The collaboration's goal is to measure CEvNS (Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering), a process predicted by the Standard Model of physics.
